MIAMI, Dec 3 2021 / PRNewswire / – Casa Dragones, a producer of ultra-premium small-batch tequila is pleased to announce its first partnership with Basel Art, a long-term, multi-year agreement. The art world has long embraced multicultural talents, with from Mexico emblematic talents in the canons of modern art and design. Now, at America’s premier art fair, customers can sample one of the world’s finest luxury tequilas, a spirit that sets the benchmark for from Mexico the best tradition of distillation.

Founded in 2009 by Bertha González Nieves as a meticulously crafted sipping tequila, Casa Dragones is the first tequila brand to enlist as an Official Partner of Art Basel Miami Beach, joining other world-class luxury brands including UBS , Audemars Piguet, NetJets and BMW. Casa Dragones will be an official partner of Art Basel Miami Beach, where it will host a reception area within the Collectors Lounge designed by a longtime friend and Mexican designer, Hector Esrawe. Casa Dragones selected Studio Esrawe because its work corresponded perfectly to the brand’s desire to highlight the zeitgeist of contemporary Mexican design, while respecting and modernizing centuries-old artisan traditions.

Inspired by the famous tasting room of Casa Dragones in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, serving its acclaimed ultra-premium tequilas, the lounge also showcases Casa Dragones’ continued commitment to Mexican craftsmanship. The concept of the original tasting room was born from a deep desire to offer customers a transporting sensory experience with the terroir of Casa Dragones. The terroir was incorporated into the space using obsidian, a natural volcanic glass found in the agave fields of Casa Dragones.

At Art Basel Miami Beach, the Tasting Room model is still evolving, with an innovative approach to sustainable contemporary Mexican design. The tasting room offers guests a beautiful and private setting in which to savor the ritual of tasting. The lavish space is crafted from translucent Mexican white onyx, with brass accents. The stacked onyx columns and shelves evoke from Mexico Basalt prisms, exquisite rock formations from ancient lava eruptions. Other design patterns are derived from the agave plant itself, with a diamond pattern taken from the pina of the plant, from which tequila is made. A circular bar lends itself to social interaction and intimate conversation.

During the fair, a series of events will take place. Casa Dragones gives a creative twist to the guest bartender concept with a series of “Art-tenders” appearing in its pop-up tasting room in the Collectors Lounge.
